Who I Am Project

In Music Technology, we started off by creating a project called Who I Am and our job was to create 4 different tracks using 4 different techniques to describe ourselves.

Repetition

Repetition in music helps add emphasis to the emotion that you are trying to convey. It can help the song be more appealing to listeners by repeating what they might have already heard.

Layering

Layering adds texture and feeling to the piece of music. It can evoke emotions and heighten your awareness of what is going on during the piece.

Patterns

Patterns can be used to make the song feel fuller in a sense that it has come full circle. You can start and end a song with the same chord pattern and make it end feeling very complete.

Silence

Silence in a piece of music can be used to bring out and emphasize certain parts of the style, tone, and tempo. It can be used to build tension in a song as the listener waits for the music to resume.
Each title is hyperlinked to the piece it corresponds to.
